The first reproduction sculpture was made for the Crystal Palace , Great Exhibition of 1851, by Carrier Belleuse, who was a French artist, who worked in Staffordshire , England , and then later at Sevres porcelain, France , where his studio assistant was Auguste Rodin.
This beautiful traditional marble sculpture is made by a process unique to Sculptured Arts Studio from formed Carara marble; she is highly detailed with fine crisp modeling.
